The Fence Jumper

The Fence Jumper, Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains.

The story behind the image:

The Fence Jumper captures a whitetail buck as it jumps over a fence in Cades Cove. Waiting for the right moment is a part of photography. I stayed with this buck for quite a bit of time anticipating that it might jump over the fence. I was rewarded with this image. On another day I stayed with a different buck hoping that it would do the same thing. Instead as I locked on to photograph it, the buck scooted under the fence with a full rack!  

The goal of my photography is to capture a moment in time, and to share with the viewer the beauty that I observed. My images are single images. I use a program called Lightroom to process my RAW image to prepare them for printing. The image is then printed in the USA on metal or archival quality professional photo paper which is mounted and coated for durability. All images are copyright protected and reproduction in any format is strictly prohibited.
