Primitive Baptist Church, Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains.

The story behind the image: 

John Oliver founded the Primitive Baptist Church in 1827. It is the oldest established Church in Cades Cove. The original building was a log structure that burned down in 1887. This structure replaced the original. The ceiling was made of white pine. The white pine was stained by the oils on the hands and feet of the builders. Their hand and foot prints are still visible on the ceiling. The goal of my photography is to capture a moment in time, and to share with the viewer the beauty that I observed. My images are single images. I use a program called Lightroom to process my RAW image to prepare them for printing. The image is then printed in the USA on metal or archival quality professional photo paper which is mounted and coated for durability. All images are copyright protected and reproduction in any format is strictly prohibited.
