John Oliver Cabin in Spring is perfect in any location in your home or office; but it is particularly spectacular over a fireplace, couch, or bed when printed in a 24x36 size.

The story behind the image:

John and Lucretia Oliver moved from Carter County in northeast Tennessee to Cades Cove in 1818. This cabin was built in the 1820s and represents one of the earliest surviving log cabins in Cades Cove. The structure is an example of a Smokies single-pen log cabin. The cabin was a residence for Oliver and his descendants until the 1930s. [Reference: "John and Lucretia Oliver Homestead". I hope that you enjoy my John Oliver Cabin image as much as I enjoyed photographing it. The blue sky, white clouds, and mountain backdrop perfectly complement this historic log cabin structure.

The goal of my photography is to capture a moment in time, and to share with the viewer the beauty that I observed. My images are single images. I use a program called Lightroom to process my RAW image to prepare them for printing. The image is then printed in the USA on metal or archival quality professional photo paper which is mounted and coated for durability. All images are copyright protected and reproduction in any format is strictly prohibited.
