Bud Ogle Cabin, Great Smoky Mountains
Bud Ogle Cabin, Great Smoky Mountains
Bud Ogle Cabin located in the Great Smoky Mountains.
The story behind the image:
The Bud Ogle Cabin was built in the late 1880's by Noah "Bud" Ogle (1863-1913). The cabin is known as a "saddlebag" cabin which is a relatively rare design for the area. This type of cabin has two single-pen cabins which are joined by a common chimney. The sections were built about 5 years apart as the Ogle family grew. The Bud Ogle Cabin is a lovely structure reflecting the craftsmanship of the era. This image is a great complement to your Smoky Mountain collection and makes a wonderful gift commemorating a Smoky Mountain vacation.
The goal of my photography is to capture a moment in time, and to share with the viewer the beauty that I observed. My images are single images. I use a program called Lightroom to process my RAW image to prepare them for printing. The image is then printed in the USA on metal or archival quality professional photo paper which is mounted and coated for durability.
